cheque bounce case

I filed the cheque bounce case for 15L. Accused asked for settlement in the court. The case went to Lokadaalath. Accused didn't turnup. Case went back to Court again. after that accused didn't appear in the court for next two hearings. Court has given exparte judgement. Now what are the options available for the accused. how much he has to pay, if the accused wants appeal?

If the accused wants to appeal against exparte order, he have to pay 20% of the decree amount before the appellate court to contest the appeal.

Does he need to show surity for remaining 80% amount?
