What is ancestral property

1) My Great Great Grandfather has property .  IN WHICH YEAR?

2) Property pass to My Great Greatfather.  IN WHICH YEAR?

3) Then,My Grandfather and 2 borthers of my grandfather devide the property. IN WHICH YEAR?

but 3 point 1950.

IF your grandfather had received the property in the year 1950, it is ANCESTRAL qua his children.

Therefore your grandfather cannot WILL the entire property.  However, he can WILL only his share in the property, NOT the entire property.

Sir,i have one query,somewhere i read that the property Ancestral property should not be partioned upto previous four generation.

But in my case my grandfather & his 2 brothers has done the partition.

So,please help me to undetstand the actual facts.
