Dishonour of cheque

Husband borrowed 100000 from his friend �x� He had issued cheque for Rs.50,000/-. His wife also issued cheque for Rs.50,000/-. Both cheque dishonoured. Single complaint is filed against husband and wife. Whether wife is liable for prosecution u/s 138 of NI ACT along with husband? Please help with citations, if available. Thanks in advance

Both are liable, it is technical law so engage an expert who won such cases and you can win.
