Promissory Note

I am from mumbai maharashtra.I am lending a big amount and want to secure this with a promissory note.Please help me to understand on what denomination stamp paper should i make this on ? Do i need a witness to sign this ?Do i need to get this notarised ? I will not be placing a time limit for payment and want to keep it as payment in demand is that ok ?

you can put Revenue Stamp Rs. 1.00 on promissory note. if you take witness, it will treated as a Bond. don't get Notary on promissory note.
