I have sold a property 4 years ago. The buyer has promised to pay the sales proceeds in 18 months from the date of registration. However, he went into financial trouble and kept requesting more time to give the sales proceeds. And, I have learnt that the buyer sold the property to another person 6 months ago.
I have approached an advocate about the possibility of cancelling the registration and he advised me that cancellation of registration requires a civil suit and that too such a case shall be entertained by court only if it is under 3 years from the date of registration.
All I want is my money back. Please advise what options do I have.
