Respondent's presence mandatory in maintenance case?

Dear Experts, Can anyone plz let me know what r the Next steps in RCR case? In her counter my wife again mentioned all the false allegations which she had mentioned in 498A & DVC cases. She further mentioned that I was filed this case a counter bias to the above cases. Finally she mentioned that she was ready to stay with me if any 3 caste elders of our village, gave security to her life from me & my parents. Case was postponed to 19th of next month. the next date will be fixed for framing of issue and after that the matter will go to PH board in RCR matter. evidences of both the parties would be adduced.
