It is believed that you are all Hindu.

Confirm!

Since she died interstate, her property will devolve as per the provisions of section 15(1) HSA. The husband and the children of the deceased would be the primary heirs. Since you mention she has no children, the property would completely devolve upon the husband. If the husband is deceased as well, the next line of heirs would be the heirs of the husband. If she never married, the next in line would be her parents, and if they are dead, too, then would the property devolve upon your father (under entry (d) as heir of the father of the deceased in question.) Hope this makes it clearer.

In case of Hindu woman the nature and source of property matters.
