Even ex-CMD Tata Iron & Steel Company(TISCO) Jamshedpur, Mr Russy Modi was once has lost from Jamshedpur MP seat to Mrs. Abha Mahto wife of co accused in famous JMM bribery case during Mr. PV Narsimha Rao Govt.. He was very popular as well as had a very remarkable contribution in development of Jamshedpur city. There are numerous example of like this. But as u said "compulsory voting" shoud be must. It may bring good result.
