Vat on retail invoice

Is it mandatory for the seller to mention VAT separately in the retail invoice ?? . The seller is located in delhi. Please suggest.

Either vat % and vat amount charged should individually be mentioned for each item if vat is charged or calculated is different for each item or a statement mentioning how much vat was charged on the total should be mentioned in the bill at the bottom near total if vat % is same for all the items.

Agreed that the VAT charged at the rate prevailing thereupon should have a mention in the invoice which will be added to the main value.

IT IS MANDATORY FOR THE SELLER TO DO SO AS FAR AS THE TAX PAYER HE GET TO KNOW ABOUT HOW MUCH TAX HAS BEEN CHARGED AND IT IS A CHECK ON THE DEALER HOW MUCH VAT THEY ARE CHARGING.
