we are working for the welfare of labour in healthcare private sector viz: nursing home/pvt hospitals, diagnostic centres, clinics,polyclinics, wellness spa, wholesalers/distributors/retailers in pharma/medical/surgical/diagnostic supplies, patholgy labs/chains, opticians, and other allied establishments.
our healthcare labour force includes; nurses, wardboys, technicians, rmo, pharmacists, salespersons,courier boys at distributors, tecnicians in patho/xray/usg/mri/ct/ot , receptionists /PROs ,physiotherapists, and ayabai in all above establishments and all such staff working in these establishments.
our union,maharashtra healthcare union, surveyed many organisations but found out the following problems:
1-labour force is unorganized,unprotected,and not registered AND 80% EDUCATED.
2-labour force is not given minimum wages,no standard wages apply,no overtime wages given.
3-they are not represented by any 'pan mumbai/maharashtra union' ...we are the first pan maharashtra organisation.
4-safety,security,hygiene,insurance issues.
5-protection of female workers rights and protection.
we would like representation from your LEGAL field to guide us and help us in the formation of 'healthcare labour board'
on the lines of other labour boards,and make applications on behalf of our union to various government authorities and CHIEF MINISTER,LABOUR MINISTER,HEALTH MINISTERS.
