What is fmb sketch, why we need fmb sketch.

What is FMB sketch, why we need FMB sketch.

For example, if a survey number has an extent of one acre and its subdivided into multiple pieces of land. Then how the subdivided piece is identified from other part of pieces, and how FMB sketch will help in this regard

Field Measurement Book (F.M.B) In FMB's the individual survey number maps are maintained at a scale of 1:1000 or 1:2000. Each survey number is divided into several sub divisions. Each sub division is owned by a owner. The FMB's also depicts the dimensions of each field boundaries and the sub divisions.

The unit is called links. For example if number is 250, it means 2 full chains( each chain = 100 links) and 50 links. 1 full chain = 66 feet.
In feets = Numbers of links * 0.66 ( 250 links multiplied by 0.66 = 165 feet)

I have been waiting for this information for past few years.  Now it is very useful. I also need to learn how to interpret other symbols in the Tippon document
