Hello,
After my Fathers death we need to transfer the property on my Mothers name. My Mother was a Nominee in the said apartment. Can someone please guide what form is required and the formalities that need to be completed. This is a flat in a housing Society in Mumbai.
The so called committe in her society is making us run around. So I want to understand whats needed and what needs to be done. We are also looking to sell the same later.

1. you need to have succession certificate from relevant court of your area.
2. If property index shows the name of your mother in it then you have clear way to sort it out.

A. You need to get a succession certificate from the Court
B. NOC to be taken from the Society. And your consent to be given subject to succession certificate.
C. Submit an application before the Society with succession certificate and the Society must give a membership in your mother's name.
