Not ready for marriage after engagement

Page no : 2

CompelledToLearnLaw (Financial Examiner)     23 October 2014

Although, I came across a couple of people on the internet who said 498a was filed on them without a marriage. And one of them said even HC refused to quash his 498a case filed by a private complaint.

@Helping Hand...Beautiful Answer.   We should always try to avoid litigations.   However, I suggest that the reasons for saying no should be found out.   If the reasons are not acceptable, try to recover at least engagement expenses.

You should ideally do nothing...if the boy is not ready simply search another groom...your sister will not be happy with him even if the marriage is solemnized...

As  for damages, if the amount is large you can claim compensation legally...
