unregistered will probate required

Is there a rule required to probate unregistered will within certain number years from person demise? The will was written in year 2004 and person passed away in 2005. Now we are thinking that person brothers might try to claim share through his mother.

Hello,

As per me, the probate of will has a limitation of 3 years. So you have to file a probate application within 3 years. You can also file a probate application with delay as per other provisions of the limitation act.
