Punjab domicile

I am resident of chandigarh for last 10 years.can I get Punjab domicile to get Punjab quota

If that 10 years stay is on public record, you can apply to the Tehsildar for such a certificate and if you are eligible you can get such a certificate.  If you are not eligible, the authorities must inform as to the reasons for rejecting such a certificate.  In case of domicile certificate for studies, continuous studies in such institutions is itself proof and further DC is not required as the status is replied in qualification certificates.

'Domicile' and 'resident' are not necessarily synonymous terms. What is the context for posting this query? What is the real issue?

To my knowledge, Chandigarh is Union Territory and not part of Punjab State though the city happens to be the capital of Punjab as well  Haryana States.

It appears from your statement that your forefathers belonged to Punjab and not Chandigarh, therefore, you can not get domile certificate of Chandigarh,
