Divorce

Sir my wife filed police case under section 498AIPC and I have been aquital from that case.and I filed divorce case on aquital and now I married with one girl without divorce my wife.
and now my first wife filed criminal complaint before judicial magistrate under 494 iPC.
Now my quarry is that after getting divorce before completion of that criminal case under 494ipc. what will be effect of that criminal case?

1. A married Person CANNOT marry again, without getting a "Divorce Decree" from court.  This is irrespective of any type of earlier criminal /civil case running /decided in court.

2. Second Marriage automatically becomes "null & void", IF earlier Wife is not duly divorced. AND further becomes liable for upto Seven year imprisonment with Free Lodging & Boarding.

3. However, the above is not applicable for Live-in-Relationship's, as decided by Supreme Court. So check IF you married legally or performed marriage by circling seven times around a jungle fire.
