Compensation for the plot aquired by karnataka govt.

My dad bought a plot in Bengaluru in the year 1959 and got it registered. After a few years the plot along with other plots was aquired by Karnataka Govt. My father is no more. Like to know if we the children are entitled to claim any compensation, if yes under which Section of the Law. Please advise in the matter.

Generally when government acquires land from bonafide land owner compensation is paid by the govt to the owner. If it is not paid then you can apply of the compensation.

You are entitled to compensation u Land Acquisition Act (2013) @mkt value of land + value of assets attaches to the property at time of acquisition
