POA for a Joint Ownership from Second Applicant to First

Hi,

Please share some knowledge regarding joint ownership of a house:

1) Can the second applicant give POA to the first applicant to sign on his/her behalf for a agreement for joint ownership of a house.

2) A sample of the POA document would be of great help.

3) If the first applicant lives in Pune and second applicant in Delhi, and the house has to be purchased in Pune; where should the POA be registered.

Thanks,

- Ankit

1) Yes second applicant can give POA legally.

2) It will be better to get the help of a local lawyer for draft of POA, he will draft correctly according to your need.

3) It may be Regd. either in Pune or in Delhi.
