Lifts in chs

my society is charging Rs. 3000/-per trip of any luggage being shifted by flat owners or in case when we buy it. This charge is other than monthly regular maintenance charge. Is this legal? can it be operated like a profit making center?

The lift is CHS is to ferry members.

The charges in CHS for heavy leggage etc should be decided in meeting and be reasonable.

Take up the matter in meeting.

sir, is it legitimate to put charges like this even though decided in the meeting?

i have taken a flat knowing that there is a lift in the building and purposefully taken on 8th floor.

now for everything which is decided as heavy by committee members, i need to pay Rs.3000/-

instaed of waiting for the meeting to happen, can i send them legal notice for collecting money in illegal way??

The charges should be reasonable.

If the charges are not reasonable then you should not be alone that is dissatisfied.

Relate the matter with Society Bye laws framed in accordance with Model Bye Laws and jointly try to put up in meeting and exhaust internal options.
