mAY VBE WOMWN rIGHTS ACTIVISTAS WERE PROTESTING AND AY ADVOCATES ALO JOINED THEM IN PROTEST AGAINST THE  PYMENT OF hra IN LIEU OF INTERIM MAINTENANCE.hERE WOMWNS mAINTAINAXCE HAS  TKN ABACK SEAT  TO PAYMENT OF HRA SUGGESTING THE latter should be preferred.

What will you protest?  If you dont want wife to be with you, court will order maintenance for her if she is does not have any source of income.  Thats all.  If she is earning and if such income is insufficient for her livelihood, then she can file application to court seeking maintenance.

 

Maintenance includes HRA, food, clothing, medicine etc.  You can give wife money monthly which will be considered as maintenance but will never be considered as alms or some money that you want to give coz you want to keep her away.

 

You dont seem to have even the slightest  respect for women.  I pity fellow members above who cant even gauge your intent here and simply have advised you what not and all.

 

If your wife is such a trouble for you, give divorce instead of making a woman feel cheap.

what is the answer?CAN ONE PAY INTERIM MAINTENANCE UNDER COURT PROTEST UNDER HRA meansunder court protest so that women donttake out till the final  order of jugdement thiswill stop all unnessary divorce cases and women and inlaws will think 100times before filing false divorce case against there husband.

You cannot protest. If you do not agree with the order, only remedy available to you is to go for revision or appeal, depending upon under which section interim maintenance is granted. If you get stay, then you need not pay interim maintenance till disposal of appeal/revision.

No, because Interim maintenance is not compensation . Interim maintenance is granted as an interlocutory relief in the suit when court satisfied that it is the minimum amount for the women to survive with dignity.
