NBFC is not covered by RTI Act. Only thse companies which wholly or substantialy receive funds from the government come under the purview of RTI Act.

Such companies, not being govt owned or managed or funded are not under RTI Act.If you appreciate this  answer please click the thank you button on this forum..

The RTI route thru regulators/authority might be possible; e.g; RTI,National Housing Bank to the extent matters' covered by regulators..............

To be covered under RTI Act the yardstick is "Substantial Contribution" in managing , running the organisation.

SC, for the substantial defined that without which contribution the organisation "cease to exit"

Though NBFC is not under ambit of RTI Act, as a consumer, the subscribed can demand as an affected party, and this is not open to outsiders and every citizen.

If you have paid consideration to avail some services, and if there is some deficiency of services, you have a right to seek information from that organisation , be it NBFC or Society.

If you want to go through Controlling route, you can have access only to that much information which is submitted by NBFC to that Controlling authority is available as public record with that public authority.  For your sake, they can not and they will not seek information from the NBFC or send the applicataion received by them to that concerned NBFC.
