We purchased plots from one Housing Society and after few years the Housing Society validity period expired and they have not applied for the reneval of the registration and they left out without maintaining our colony due to some disputes among them. As per the RTI information from the Registrar of Societies,the date of expiry of the executive body is 01-10-2002,presently the Housing society is under defunct.
Now some antisocial elements who are into real estate business started grabbing the open spaces and cutting Trees and doing all unlawful activities,disturbing peaceful atmosphere of the locality by taking advantage of the absence of Housing society. We the residents wan't to protect our colony by forming the new executive body with the same old Housing society name. Can we register a new society on the same name as the existed Housing society is under defunct? Please help.
