Koyel, the link your provided is talking abt judges and advocates....it means an advocated cannot appear before any judge who is his/her relative...don't get confused.

Dear Koyal, there is no bar to appear before court of law on behalf of his brother-in law . only in case when the presiding officer of the court is relative of the advocate than he can not appear before this court

There is no bar for an advocate for appearing for his kith and kin. Whenever a chance for an advocate to be called as a witness in that case, it is better to engage somebody else.

you are little confused.

Pleading by a brother in law in a divorce case & petitioner/respondent/respective advocates if are the relative of the concerned judge or having financial interest- both are different
