Rti act - 30 days time

Dear All,

As per RTI act, when we apply to any public authority and if the public authority does not reply in a period of 30 days; does it mean 30 working days or including holidays, etc.

Is it okay to go for first appeal exactly after 30th day or one should count only the working days of that public authority.

Please clarify.

It is 30 days on paper. But, it is 45 days in many cases. If No reply still, then go in for 1ST Appeal.
