Caveat u/s 148a of cpc

Respected Seniors and Worthy Fellows, I need clear idea on when and how to use caveat under section 148A of CPC. When (at what stage of lawsuit) is it used in a petition or application? In what context do we use it? Regards...

 Whenever there is an opportunity apprehending an appeal/revision/petition is likely to be filed it is being filed.
