Seperate Telangana movement in AP:

Seperate Telangana movement & latest developments in AP:

I would like to have a healthy discussion about the latest developments happening to form a seperate Telangana state in AP.

KCR's hunger strike has reached nearly 8 days now. Telangana politicians from other parties also making a cause towards Telangana. Students from various colleges and universities are at fore front in addition to NGO's etc. Some people are also against making Hyd as a free zone. On Tuesday 1st Dec some employees (RTA etc) joined some thing called 'Pen down', that means they go to work place but don't touch pens (these days PC's too). Two weeks holidays (starting on 4th December ) are declared for Junior, Degree, and PG schools and colleges.

1. Will TRS and others achieve Telangana this time?
2. Will AP again split into Rayalaseema and Andhra?
3. How does this impact on Hyd developments including IT, RE, and other MNC's.

4. Should HYd join Telangana, if so, what will happen to non Telangana ppl?

5. River water sharing issues etc etc....

Please share your voices......

It is seen the small States make development very fazt compared to bbig and large States like Andhra wherein development and resources are confined to a big cities and a particular area which gives a sense of discrimination and ultimately separitism as is seen in Telangana area of Andhra Pradesh. The demand of separate State of Telangana is not a new one and it is an old demand which has been ignored in a planned way. Congress had promised to create separate State of Telangana but after assuming power at centre and Stae, it is ignoring this demand for the reasons best known to it.

This time people under the leadership of TRS are coming together to achieve their goal and it seems that this demand cannot be ignored for a long time now.

If demand is acceded then Andhra shall be divided as Bihar, UP & MP were divided recently.

There shall be no impact on Hydrabad or any MNC

Yes. Hydrabad should join and nothing adverse is going to happen with non-telangana ppl.

River, resources and other related matters get solved as has been done by various States from which some portions were separated while creating new states.

If one goes through history of Hyderabad state and how A.P. formed from Madras Presidency,     1969 Telanagana movement, how andhra region people looted telnagana revenue, failed to implemet regulatory committes contents and six point formula , natural resources, how did they make Telangana handicap, failed to implement G.O.610, looting of water from Telangana region etc. Seperate Telangana state hood utmost necessary.

Hyderabad is a crown city of Telanagana. Culture is same entire Telangana but there is lot of cultural difference, language accent diffrenece between Telanagana and Andhra. In Telangana about 80% can speak Urdu and Hindi. Once Urdu is official langauage of Telangana. I say only one sentence Telanaga way of life, culture, tradition and language is entirely diffrent from Andhra and Telanagana region.

If one knows the history of Nizams andhra region is nothing before Telangana. Always Hyderabad remains for Telanagana people and remains forever for Telangana People.

 Gujarat - Kathiawad, Kutch, Saurashtra.

Maharashtra - Marathwada, Konkan, Vidharbha

AP - Hyderabad, Telangana, Rayalaseema.

UP - Rohilkhand, Bundelkhand.

MP - Malwa, Mahakoshal

Bihar - Bhojpur, Nalanda

Rajasthan - Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaiselmer

Think of more. And more the merrier. Who cares for development. More chief ministers, more governors, more high courts, more DGPs, more power, more finances, more corruption.

Raj Kumar Makkad (Adv P & H High Court Chandigarh)     09 December 2009

Agaarawal ji! corruption is not confined upto smaller states rather it is more vigilant in big states. development in the smaller states is more than big states. if decentarlization of the power is made, it is in the interest of general public. More high courts, more DGP, more chief ministers etc. are for public interest and not against it. Telangana shall also remain a part of this country, if it is carved out as a new state.

Other you told has not been demanded and if need arises, no harm to carve out new states for the development of the areas. USA has more than 50 states. Nothing is going to harm in our country also, if some more states are created.

In 1956, when States were reorganized at the folly of Nehru, Manna and Nectar started flowing to the country. Now with the formation of Telangana, the flow will increase.

In line: Vidarbha, Bundelkhand, Harit Pradesh, Mahakoshal, Malwa, Rohilkhand, Gorkhaland, Konkan, Saurashtra, Bodoland, etc. etc. etc.

The only constraint is that we find no leader in these areas who can put his life at stake like Rajeshwar Rao did for Telangana.

More the merrier.

More regionalism, more chauvinism, more fissiparous tendencies, more regional Satraps.

Ultimately, complete Balkanization of the country. The way USSR disintegrated.

Whether seperate statehood will bring along with it peace and prosperity, only time will tell. People of Telangana should not allow the State to degenerate. History tells otherwise. Leaders who appear to represent the people, distance themselves from the same people who made them leaders. I can still not understand how a vegetable vendor after becoming an elected representative amasses wealth in a short time.

Mr Anil Agarwal's cynical attitude is not without reason. There is substance in his submissions.

 Veg vendor.

Mine worker. Koda.

Any other simile?

UPA Government's decesion regarding process for the formation of seperate state of Telangana is a right decision. Telangana again retain its glory in agriculture, education etc. Non-locals and non-local politicians of Telangana have propagated and sealed for their gains that districts of telangana is full of revulationrists. But this is wrong. When Central Government declared why these Andhra region people started agitation? Because all natural resources are available in Telangana region.

Agrawal ji I think you never visited Hyderabad or any Telanagana district. Please don't think in negative way.For better administration small states are utmost necessary.

If USA have 50 states you appreciate but why you are thinking in negative way for formation of small states in our country?

It is not a question of creation Telangana. The bigger question is the incompetence of successive governments both at the Centre and in the States. Why Chidambaram is saying that people of Telangana are feeling neglected? If Reddys and Khammams have been exploiting the wealth of AP, what was the Congress Government which ruled the State for the last 50 years doing? Was it blind?

Smaller States make for rapid development is a bogey. What has happened to Uttarakhand, Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand which are recent creations? Goa is the smallest State and not formed out of any other State. It has gained notoriety for prostitution, rape, gambling, murder.

Governments do not function under pressure. If that were so, England would have surrendered to Hitler without a fight. For 8 years, TSR was with NDA/UPA Governments. Persuasion did not work. 11-day old fast unto death did the trick. Before the announcement was made, another agitation has started for Gorkhaland. Then another and then another.

There was another fast unto death that led to formation of linguistic States that sowed the seeds of chauvinism, regionalism, linguistic frenzy, and creation of regional satraps that browbeat the Centre. History tells us that whenever there was weak Centre, country fell apart. If Aurangzeb had not left Delhi, perhaps Moghul rule would have continued till this day.

You are talking of USA. Its area is 9826675 sq.km and population 30.81 crores. Compare India - area 3287240 sq.km and population 11.98 crores. Three times bigger in size and 1/3rd in population. It is so big that it has to have different time zones. It is a fallacy to compare the number of States in USA and India.

Remember that British had three presidencies - Bombay, Calcutta and Madras each under a governor and we had never a problem of Telangana or Vidarbha. Come democracy, election, Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Raj and with it corruption mushroomed. The wealth of the nation went into the pockets of the elected representatives.

Also remember the shortsighted policies of the Government. ULFA, Khalistan, Maoists, Naxals, Kashmir separatism have not grown in one day. In fact, they are growing by each passing day.

We have created one more Satrap today. Tomorrow there will be many more. We call ourselves Indians. Don't we? When we are raped, maimed, looted, fired upon, die in police custody, upper caste burns the dalits, migrant poplation is driven out (remember the spectacle in Maharashtra), we are sermonised right from the PM to Home Minister that law and order is a STATE SUBJECT. When we pay taxes, we are not State citizens.

The fact of the matter is that there is no leader who can keep the country bound together. It is appeasement of one kind or the other. Those who are at the helm of affairs have no administrative skills; they are playing politics. Look at Mamta Banerjee. All her energies are concentrated on becoming the CM of  West Bengal. Actually, every Central Minister, left to himself, would prefer to be CM of his State. At the Centre, he is one of them. In the State, he will be the ONLY ONE.

The problem is from where to get men to run the country? Import?

Parting: UPA Government spent Rs.300 crores on travels of its Ministers in 2004-2009 and still counting.

This willl continue till every district/commssionary becomes a full fledged state. Threre were 600 'Riyasat' in Rajasthan before partition.  it will be burden on public exchequer.

Bhartiya No. 1 (Nationalist)     11 December 2009

Instead Of partition read as Independence.

In view of this Hot boiled issue nobody cares about LIberaham Commission report outcry and let some time pass Bofors shall be known as a Gun minus sham despite of the fact that there is a admitted written admission to the bribe giving abroad.  The question is our inability to think unitedly and act unitedly in mutual beneficial give and take spirit instead we are dependent and get guided by so called leaders who takes us for granted.  Last but not least does this scheme of regionalism fits in the bigger picture of nation is also an issue which needs redressal.  Instead of pointing finger at others we should learn to think about our own wrong first.

Thanks and best regards

Why we need family law if all sons and daughters live unitedly as a joint family?

Why we need states with lingustic names? Why don't people demand for Zones?

Why Andhra region people are demanding for united Andhra Pradesh?

Why Indians struggled for freedom from British?

People of Telangana are not struggling blindly. there are several reasons. Seperate Telangana statehood is utmost necessary.
