Lic insurance role in divorce case

Dear sir/Madam,

my wife is plan to get divorce against me. I am paying Life insurance premium in my name.

Can Honarable court will consider that LIC policy as an asset /  or in maintenace part.

Also I have to Pay the Remaining Premium years to complete the policy, so can Hon'ble court will consider/ minus the amount form my take home pay salary (in maintenance part).

Kindly give me advice,

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Shankar.

shankar court will consider your salary , your liablities like house loan premium , monthly medicines bills for yours and if father is not earning /pension then for your parents also , Lic monthly premium , your general expences towards your maintenance , etc .for calculating the maintenance amount for your non working wife and child if any .

+ to  add to what Joshiji has added you are legally liable to maintain your old age parents, their day to day expenditures , medical bills are all accounted.

Payment of LIC premium on your life will be considered as standard deduction from your salary while computing the maintenance amount.
