I would like to massage my thoughts on this with my limited knowledge :) 

Imagination can be perceived only with the faculties we have as beings of this existence! And we know very well that these faculties have limited power and that can not be used beyond the imagination. The conclusion in your thread is sit beyond the imagination that is part of consciousness! Therefore, consciousness is what keeps us in this existence!
