Advice on my grandfathers will

hi,

We have an ancestral property in Mangalore whihc is currently in my moms name by way of will (thru my dad). My dad has inherited the same thru a will made by my grandfather. Howver, in my grandfaters wil , it was written that the property should be kept for posterity and cannot be sold.

Does the clause apply to my mom also or was it only for my dad?

(my dad passed away 6 yrs back)

Thansk,

shanti

It is only for your dad.

MY dad had one sister and three brothers. The sister is alive and two brothers are deceased (were single also). the third brother too is deceased and is survived by his wife and daughter. In case we have to seel the property (since its ancestral) do we need to take thier consent too?

Yes. It is a must. Since it is ancestrol property. Is your father name only specified in the WILL ? Please read WILL carefully.
