Divorce over chat

If a person discovers his wife having dirty chats over net with a person she has never met, can he file for a divorce? Will divorce be granted in such a case?

You have to prove the allegations and also counter her allegations over the reasons for her reported behaviour only then you can divorce her.

Grounds of Divorce:- The husband or the wife may petition for divorce on the ground that the other party--------1. has s*xual intercourse outside marriage,

2.has renounced  the world by entering a religious order or has ceased to be a Hindu by conversion to another religion,

3. has been incurably of unsound mind, or suffering from incurable leprosy or a veneral desiease in communicable form.

if there are just one or two such incidents then I doubt that u would get a divorce .... u are casting aspersion on her character .... and if there are series of such incidents and despite ur advises, she still does it then it could be a reason for divorce ....
