Whether homosexuality should be legalized?

Homos*xuality should not be legalized. It would increase the rate of crime in India.

There is no harm in decriminalizing a consented relationship. For those who care for morality, existence or nonexistence of a legal provision  does not matter. For those, who care for Law only, why should there be a legal sanction for an act which does not harm others! It is more a matter of sentiment and freedom of thought rather than rights of  individual vis a vis  society.

There are many things which are not legalised but still they take place ex. murder, loot, rape, hyjacking, etc etc.anything relating to s*x which have no legal sanction still continue behind the scene by legal sanction everything will be done openly .We cannot rely on public opinion about homos*xuality and the courts or the parliament have no say in deciding whether homos*xuality should be accepted in our society. Indian public is totally ignorant about the medical facts on homos*xuality or it is having half-baked ideas which are not based on scientific facts. Homos*xuality, thus, cannot be made an issue of public or legal discussions. It is not a social issue, it is a medical decision. It was the duty of Indian doctors and psychiatrists, Indian Medical Association, Medical Council of India, ICMR, and other medical bodies of India to tell the Govt. of India the facts about homos*xuality and advise it to pass SSML (Same-s*x Marriage Law). It was the professional and moral duty of Indian medical experts and practitioners to remove the misconceptions about homos*xuality from Indian minds.
