what are the convictions( proved guilty ) in the cases related to 498a & DV act.

I read somewhere that 498A has 3 years and DV has 7 years imprisonment.

In 498a conviction can be upto 3 years.

In DV, only final order related to reliefs requested is made.

In DV there is no conviction but only a protection order is passed and reliefs like maintanence is passed.

For 498a it is 3 Years

For D.V it is Depend on the "Violation of Protection Orders", Though 1 Year as per CrpC 238,

which is Govern in case of , Violation of Rules.

Yes, in DV conviction is only if protection orders are violated
