Property self earned or ancestorial

Hello learned members,

After death of grand father , my father and all his siblings names were added into property card. After this we got all names removed by relinquish/release deed by paying money to them. Same has been mentioned inthe release deed.

Now this property can be considered as father's self earned or ancestorial ?

Please suggest.

When they have relinquished their rights over the property, your father is absolute owner of such properties.  It does not amounts to self acquired property.  A person who acquires any property by his gain of earnings amounts to self acquired property.

The part which he inherited from his father is ancestral.

The part which he purchased from his siblings is self-earned for him.

A self-earned property becomes ancestral after passing through 3 generations.

Yes the part/share of his father is still ancestral for his children, who are co-parcener.
