Legal heirs for deceased woman property

Dear Sir,

Q1. My mother in-law has gifted some land to my deceased wife about 5 years ago. Name transfered in revenue records too. My Father in law expired beore. My late wife have no brothers , have a sister  who is married and she too got a piece of land similar to my late wife.

I have only son and at present my mother in-law is alive. now my query is who is legally eligible to claim my  late wife's property.

Q2. If I re-marry another woman does she gets any legal rights to have share in that property.

Thanks in advance for replies'

Regards

RajaRao

On the basis of the gift your deceased wife was the absolute owner of that property.  After her death succession opens, according to succession you and your son will get equal share.

I agree with Mr. Rajeev, your second wife will not have any share in the property from which you have acquired the property through your wife.
