Rti application

Is there any prescribed format for filling an RTI application?Can any body guide me how to write one?can RTI Application be send through electronic mode like email?

There is no prescribed format for RTI application, just simple application is sufficient.

yeah can it be filled via email?
also in electronic filing of RTI ...
 
1. How do you prove receipt date, unlike in courier, where you get a receipt?
2. What if the officer says he did not check his email for a month?
3. How can you prove you sent an email? Anyone can forge an email with a backdate without sending anything.

You have to enclose Rs. 10/- IPO with the RTI application .Therefore it is evident that you file in physical form.

The fee of Rs.10/- may vary depending upon the authority to whom you address your application,so first check the fee notified by the authority.

Don't  ever send the RTI application through courier.

It is better to submit in person and take signature of receiving clerk over the copy or if it is not possible then send per registered post acknowledgement due.

By submitting personally you save on time as the authority has to provide information within 30 days.

Dear Prasanna,

Application under section 6 of the Right to Information Act, 2005 canot be electronially and  require

1. Name & address of applicant (also mention mobile number and email)

2. Information sought from

3.Particulars of information required

4. Period of Information required

5. Any other details

and a certificate from applicant that the information do not fall under section 8 of RTI Act, 2005 i.e. not barred/prohibited/restricted.

The application is required to be enclosed with a fees of Rs. 10/- (preferably by postal order)

Dear there is no any perticuler formate of application in RTI. U can write an application in simple language also maintion ur object means what u want write in bold letters alonge with Rs.10/- postal order to concern department head. Always the head of concern department is an information officer.
