For any government job one has to answer a questionnaire attached to what they call an attestation form. Among them there are two questions. One is whether he was ever convicted by a court law? As you have not said that he was convicted, he can answer "No" to the question. Another question is whether he was detained in jail for more than 24 hours. You have not said anything about this. Anyway even if he was detained by the police, that alone will not make him ineligible for Government job. You may be able to get a copy of the questionnaire. The attestation form will be sent for police verification. If the subsequent police report does not contain anything adverse, it will be just filed away.

But why you want a Government job? Follow Kanshiram's advice to Mayavathi. Try to become an MP ot at least an MLA. Even if you had committed a murder, nothing can stop you.

As regards the reply of Advocate Manoj Kumar, just filing of an FIR alone will not make a person ineligible for Government Job. He will become ineligible only if convicted. No question is asked regarding any filing of FIR in the attestation form.
