Legislation for decent dressing.

A new term has now got coined, 'Slut walk'. Delhi had its first edition. Two of AIIMS doctors opposed it rightly.

Every other day we see so much of 'Fashio shows' where things are willingly thrown into the air and somebody holds on to that prized catch to claim credit of that sixer, boundary, penalty kick or what ever it is!!!

This could have possibly been the reason for 'Burqua' amongst muslim community. Nothing to advocate it beyond levels. Some have misused it deliberately and caused grievous injury too. But then, there is some good in it. Nothing beyond this to burqua and that topic is better left there after having got a brief glimpse of it.

Sure, YES, IT IS TIME FOR INDIA TO COME UP WITH A LEGISLATION ON MINIMAL DRESSING akin to legislation banning smoking in public places.

Now-a-days when the dressing sense are being debated gender issues are taken more importance.

First of all we have to understand.

All the most respectable relation and loving relation lies in the womanhood in the form of Mother, Sister, Wife and Friends.

The most beautiful thing about Feminism is making achievements in all the fields, showing love, care, responsibilities.

Men and women should help each and should appreciate mutually.

Both Mother and father's responsibilities are required for the betterment of the child.

Brother sister relationship is the most beautiful relation so we should treat each other as brother sister. What could be more beautiful than respecting each other as brother and sister.

Male and feminine friendship can be more beautiful by helping each other in all the possible ways.

Only very few movie based entertainment is bringing all the above qualities.

In the most of the movies It is shown as if the hero is brave and the heroine is glamorous by the way of revealing dress.

So most of the movie is trying to bring the impression that only brave men and revealing women will be admired.

Those people who are making such type of movies where heroine dressed in the revealing manner to hypnotize the minds
of the general public.

Those media people should realize they should stop intruding in other person privacy by the way of hypnotizing the sub-conscious mind of the general public.

Sexuality is reserved by religious scripttures, morality and even the legislation to be practiced in the privacy only that too between husband and wife.

Though it can be debated revealing dress has no relation with s*xuality.

But deep down it is true that revealing dress is exhibiting the s*xuality.

It can also be debated the prov activeness has nothing to do with the way the people observe. this kind of debate can exhibit the arguing skills but not the fact.

Irrespective of the gender both men and women are having responsibility to protect the so called heritage.

Responsibility is finer than being irresponsible.
Responsibility is the most powerful and brave thing.

General Public should understand What it would serve by dressing in revealing manner? What could be the object of dressing revealing?

Now Topless Pose of Actress, The so called Slut Walks, In decent Dress Codes in Fashion Shows, The Most Intimate Scenes in normal rated films. These things are to be banned.

Law is necessary to interfere when things are turning danger. So legislation may be required so that dressing manner in social places be regulated at least to some extent.

Finally both men and women should work together instead of putting the blame on each other.

THe legislation should not only be limited to dressing sense alone. but also in every aspects in which our nations value be enriched.

As said by James Allen "One who can control himself/herself will always find peace"

It is applicable both to the dressing sense and the mind in which other person sees.

Those who encourage revealing dressing sense  claims that it is their freedom and fundamental rights.

It is really sad thing some people try to bring dressing sense under Article 19 and Article 21.

One has to note that Article 19(1)(a) to 19(1)(g) has reasonable restrictions under Article 19(2) to 19(6).

Previously article 21 is interpretted very strictly in an ideal manner but to facilitate the practical purpouse it is being liberally interpretted. 

But judiciary and legislature should be so careful because if this right is relaxed for every act then those act which remains small will fail our value system completely. 

By arguing skills and grammatical interprettation we can bring any act under tha ambit of Article 21.

Article 21 should be used carefully otherwise we can bring every act under article 21 and can bring disturbance to the value system.

Muruganantham's highlights above are quiet revealing. I am not very sure of the way in which arguments have been advanced by various constituents of society, specially the ones that get associated with what has come to be called "Feminism". But, I surely am aware of misuse of Article 19, 21 in the sense of the arguments advanced herein.

Surely yes, Article 19 and its 1(a) to 1(g) clauses, specially the c,d,e,g necessitates lot of introspection. This is where associations come into picture. These associations create ruckus across the society and burn the thin societal fabric. It is the free money that gets pumped in, in the guise of advertisemet funds, sponsorships that lure these organisations under various banners to post able lawyers to argue ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING, come up headaches, more headaches, headaches that turns one mad. Judges falter and these are shaped into laws, etiquettes etc.

This task of reigning in associations is not that easy a task for individuals. Groups need to take to recourse under clauses 19(2), 3, 4, 5, 6 in apt manners. One will then understand the importance of protecting our traditional laws, traditions, cultural aspects of our society and that these are not, should not be traded upon the way it is sought to be done by these associations that mushroom overnight and pop up some individual or the other as their frontal faces. It is imperative to note it very distinctly that  India is a civilisation that has had its inspiration from across the globe through live channels: Poets, philosophers, saints etc visiting various places/being invited from across the globe (Tusi das, Adi Sankara, Fahien, Buddhist Theerthankaras, Peer Babas from middle east etc etc. The more recent ones are spread of Ram Krishna ashrams etc etc). All caused societies, follower communities. All thrived on new value additions, principles in their lives. Ultimately, all got blended after 20/30/40 years. To cut a long story short in a public portal meant for law, it is suffice to note that INDIAN TRADITION, CULTURE, VALUES, SPIRITUALITY, TRADE, SOCIETY PER SE WAS, SHOULD BE HOLISTIC. It is a civilisation in itself.

How contrasting this is to the percepts that Gandhian associations were/are, temples were/are, ashrams/goshalas etc that were/are etc.......... In fact, Inida has a very rich tradition with what has come to be called DEMO-cracy. Nothing to cause any insult, but let us ponder on what has been achieved. The 'Slut wak' that I indicated in Delhi itself is a classic DEMO-cracy isn't it? Analysis reveals that this word 'Slut' itself originated offshore couple of years ago. Some fashion show troupe or some group with particular focus wants to spearhead some product/culture that is favorable to it. In all probability this group has concept money, seed money that is shared across the globe. Beneficiaries of this region (our country) DEMOnstated a CRACY idea under authoritative of law in return for that money. The attitude of these groups itself are that, the more the voice, muscle flexing, tongue raging, the better, the easier the result; let the objective, end impact go to hell!

I am not sure whether article 21, 21(a) should be drawn at all. Nevertheless, since it has been mentioned, all that can be surmissed is:

In article 21, Right to Life means the right to lead meaningful, complete and dignified life. - Thus, it does not allow one to parade body parts through new ways, dress etc.

Nevertheless, article 21(a) that pertains education may be triggered, fine tuned to evolve a policy that catches the yound minds right at the bud and inculcates a sense of responsible living, culture, traditions, their benefits etc. Education has been lot of importance, All strata: Concerned public personalities, governMINT, organisations, associations etc are playing their roles. All could be sensitised on need for such a policy.

All in all, from where the last post stopped, it may be surmised that: "There is urgent need for FRAMING A BROAD CHARTER (on lines of Indian culture, society, values and not ape other countries/societies for whatever reason it be) FOR ASSOCIATIONS, ORGANISATIONS etc. It is only then that a holistic law can be in place and dress code could be one of its constituents.
