RECOVERY OF JEWELRY

The parents-in-law and the husband have pledged whole jewelry  of a married woman  against her wishes. The jewelry was gifted by her parents at the time of marriage and other ceremonies. When the girl made a demand that her jewelry be returned to her she was driven out of her matriminial home by one and all.

Now what is to be done legally so that the jewelry is recovered from the parents-in-law and husband.

You can file a case in your local family court for recovery. If the value of the gold is more than 10 or 20 lakhs you have to file it in district family court. You should have some proofs about the gold being given to them and also full details of the jewelry. As now a days many false cases are being put about recovery of jewelry, proofs are very important to win or to file the case.
