My associate had links with a supplier and made several lakhs of money from a public limited company 8 months ago. The company came to knew about this and gripped him. After he paid all the money back to the company he got fired also. Company did not issue releiving order to him either. This happened 8 months ago. What will be the next course of actions from the company now?

Even 8 months after? Also, out of the 2 involved, one person received the relieving order and another one did not.

yes, even after 8 months, question of delay and its explaination shall be dealt with during the trial .

can not be advised, unless entire facts are not known and material is not brought before us..please place the facts whether there is any confession etc. , if so what steps taken by the employee before and after confession.
