Changing will after registering

Sir,

This is regarding a long standing property dispute. During the sharing of my mother's ancestral property, my grandmother wrote 18 cents of land in my mother's name and wrote in the "aadharam(WILL)" that this cannot be cancelled at any time. The aadharam was registered in 1967.

After several years, my mother's younger sister forced the grandmother to re write the will making 18 cents of land in her name. The earlier will was never cancelled.

Problem is that my mother doesn't have any records or copy of the will showing that the property was written in her name at the first place.

Is there any legal remedy to get back this property?

How we can get the details of registration done in 1967 from registrar office.

What sort of details we can get from registrar office?

The original will has gone missing from ancestral house.

Please help.

Dear Praveen,

You can pay the due fees at the Registrar's Office to search the records and apply for a certified copy.

Best Wishes
