Can my mother register property in my name if she has a will

We are basically from Andhra Pradesh. My father has written a Will saying that all his property should belong to my mother after his death. The property is his own earned. My father expired in May, 2002. We are five brothers and my mother did not distribute any property among us. Due to some of my requirements, my mother wants to transfer some property in my name. Is it possible for my mother to transfer some property in my name without the consent of other brothers? If possible, will a Gift Deed is sufficient for this?

Regards,

Bhuvan.

Gift deed needs to be registered; only then it is effective. Registration renders it less liable to litigation. So consent must be taken.

yes your mother can transfer some of her property in favour of you by making a registered gift deed , she need not required to take any consent from anybody .
