Hi everyone, We had registered our Partnership Firm in 2008 in Registrar of Firms under Indian Partnership Act Now just 1 week back we executed a deed of Reconstitution and also changed the Name of the Firm from " Bharti Constructions" to "S.K Developers". when we approached the registrar of Firms for Change of Name under Section 60 of Indian Partnership Act along with Form II and copy of new Deed of Partnership. He refused to accept the form saying as per section 60 of Indian partnership act only alterations are permitted i.e only spelling and minor changes can be done and entire name cannot be changed. When I approached state registrar with the same matter he too said only alterations are permitted.:( Now please guide me as to how to convince them. Is there any Department which will interpret the Indian Partnership Act??
