Agreement not registered but on stamp paper

Hi...

please let me know that is it compulsary to register an agreement between two entities, even if it is being done on stamp paper.

Does the value of stamp paper necessary to take into consideration (i mean, I know that there is a ten times penalty if found that stamp duty paid is less, but does it have any effect on the value of agreement)?

without getting the agreement registered, is it still enforable in the court of law?

please let me have your comments.

Depends on what kind of agreement it is. Read the Registration Act section - 17

the agreement is between two companies for manufacturing B2B. something like - between LG and a company who contract manufacturers for LG.

or Ranbaxy and company who contract manufacturers for it.

If you want to enforce in legal fora it has to be legal otherwise no use.
