Wrong date filled in itr

Hello,

I filled a wrong date in the column "date on which deposited in govt account" in "Self Assesment tax payment". As I have made the payment after 9:00 pm which results in payment in govt account on next working day, but I have mentioned the date of payment made i.e. one day prior to funds actually transferred to govt acount.

What should be done to correct that?

It is not much important the date of payment of tax. Calculation of correct tax is important.so Do not worry about the date correction.

I got the notice from Income tax department regarding the mismatch in tax credit which is what I was afraid of is for "Self Assesment Tax" paid but wrong date entered while filling the returns. Tax amount which is demanded in letter u/s143(1) is of rs.40 only and I have read in various blogs that if the mismatch is less than 100 rs then we dont need to file rectification, But didnt get any official documentation stating the same.

Suggest me what to do ?

Thanks is advance :)
