Why adultery/extra marital affairs is a crime only for men?

Why adultery/Extra marital affairs is a crime only for men?

There is no punishment for women. Adultery/Extra marital Affairs is not a crime for women.

But adultery is a crime for men.

Why there is different type of law?

Indian penal code came into effect in the year 1860 at that time seeing the social structure of the country or Indian society not even his worst imagination can thin of women even thinking about the adultery. The same old law is going on and on. Due to lack of political will power our govt is also not willing to touch that section despite recommendation from law commission

Not even that women in adultery can't be punished as the instigator for that

IF LOVE AND SEX  ARE NATURAL FOR WOMEN THEN IT SHOULD BE ALSO NATURAL FOR MEN.

AND IF LOVE AND SEX ARE NOT NATURAL FOR MEN THEN IT SHOULD NOT BE NATURAL FOR WOMEN ALSO.

The punishment for adultery and bigamy is the same for both men and women only if proved with valid evidences.

The said law is different as women are vulnerable sections of the society and hence the consitution empowers the state under article 15(3) to enact special legislations for women. The same includes being exempted from penalty in certain cases.

Bigamy is equally punshiable for all
