Kindly enlighten me on the following situation:
1. I applied for a post outside my parent institution through proper channel and took NOC during interview.
2. I got selected but had to resign (technical resignation) from my post before joining the new organisation.
3. There was a one day gap between release from the earlier organisation and joining the present post.
4. I brought along with me the LPC and my pay was fixed.
5. Now, the present organisation says that since there is a 'break' of one day in service, the past service cannot be counted.
6. Does this gap of one constitute a break in service?
