Time taken to get a case registered and numbered in court

Sir / ma'am,

requesting for information on this query:

if I file a civil suit with court fees duly paid, in a district court with help of a lawyer at Visakhapatnam, how many days or weeks does it usually take for the case to get the OS number?

please advise,, thank you

It depends. Generally it takes 2-3 days but in in some court it may take place even 15 days. Consult your lawyer.

There is no specific time per se

but may take 2-3 days or even more than a week as said by my LD. Advocate brother below.
