Tenants rights

Respected Sirs,

Kindly provide your opinions that what are the rights for Tenants who are residing for the past 60 years under a Private property which is situated in the Bangalore City Corporation.  The tenants are paying low rents and now they are requiring to vacate their property under the Rent Control Act by the property owner.

Thanking you,

( D.Dakshina Murthy )

The tenants have a right to live in that property at the mercy of landlord as per rents fixed by him.   You have received enough benefits even without undergoing any ordeals fo construction.  Have a fear to God, thank them for allowing you to reside for 60 years peacefully, and find suitable alternate accommodation.

Every tenant should remember that owners have spent his hard earned money on the construction of the house, so he will naturally treat it like his baby. There is no COMPULSION on the tenant to take the house against his wishes. Tenant always has the option of going through the clauses in the agreement before taking the possession. SO WHERE IS THE PROBLEM?. If you do not agree to the clauses, look for somewhere else. OWNER HAS THE RIGHT TO PUT AS MANY CLAUSES AS POSSIBLE TO SAFEGUARD HIS HOUSE. AGAIN NO COMPULSION ON THE TENANT. While leaving the normal deduction towards painting and other repairs and damages and leakage of taps and electrical appliances is a common thing. TENANT CAN ALWAYS CROSS CHECK THE RATES OF PAINTING AND THE AMOUNT OF MATERIAL, SO WHERE IS THE PROBLEM OF OVER-CHARGING.

Dear Sirs,  Thanks for your guidance.  Tenants Rights means Legal Rights of the Tenants who are staying that for the past 60 years.  You are pointing ourt from the Property Owners side.  What about the Poor Tenants rights who are maintaining the property from other disturbances.  Will it be possible to restrain the Property under Easement Act ? or Is there any chances to get compensation to seek another location and alternative arrangements as they are cooly workers struggliing for their life bread.

With regards,
