Tax on purchase of a 2 wheeler

Hi..

is it necssary to quote PAN card in case of purchase of a new two wheeler ?

i do not have a PAN card..so is it necssary for me to quote form 60 when purchasing a new two wheeler..

i read somwhere for purchase and registration in form 20 for a new two wheeler PAN card and form 60 are not required..plz clarify
