Survivor certificate

Dear Legal Experts

I am residing in Thane- Maharashtra, my Mom has expired in Thane and also the resident of Thane and she is holding a property in Mangalore- Karnataka, I am the only survivor, to transfer the property in my name, the revenue dept needs survivor certificate, Please guide me how to get the survivor certificate

You will have to go to the SDM in whose jurisdiction you reside and the typists outside will have the requisite formats of affidavits etc. Finally someone comes to your area to verify after which the SDM issues the certificate.

This is the procedure in Delhi - personal experience.
